Description

Baavet's mattress protectors are made with cool crisp cotton percale covers and a one centimetre thick wool core, to help protect your mattress from minor spills whilst helping you achieve a healthier sleeping environment. The wool core is breathable and temperature regulating whilst the cotton percale cover is naturally dust mite resistant. These mattress protectors can be hand washed with care or dry cleaned if necessary.

Baavet mattress protectors come in single, double, king size, and super king. The sizes are as follows:

Single - 90x190cm
Double - 135x190cm
King Size - 150x200cm
Super King - 180x200cm.

Sustainability
Baavet buys all of their woollen supplies locally, from farmers they know that they can trust. All of the companies they source their wool from must comply with UK animal welfare legislation. This benefits their local economy, as this process is so localised. They also regularly donate to charities, and provide upskilling programmes that benefit their employees and the wider community.

Since Baavet's products are made from wool and cotton, they do not require regular washing, are easy to care for and do not contribute much to water consumption in the household- wool is also dust mite proof beyond the standard set by the Asthma society. All of the waste produced in the process is recycled back into pet bedding, meaning 80% of their pet bedding is made from recycled materials. The wool Baavet uses is 100% natural, biodegradable, naturally anti-bacterial, and has very low toxicity rates.

Cleaning instructions for your Baavet mattress protector: Wool is a naturally self cleaning fibre that actively repels dust mites, mould spores, and bacteria.

Your Baavet wool protector does not need washing unless visibly soiled.

Your Baavet wool protector will benefit greatly from being outside on a sunny day as UV light is a natural cleaner that will kill any surface dust mites and bacteria., we recommend you try to air your Baavet at least once a year.

If your Baavet becomes visibly soiled then spot wash smaller stains. If a spot wash is not practical then you can hand wash your Baavet, with care. Leave the Baavet to soak in cool water, drain and refill the water, soak again, gently sponging any stains. Drain the water and hang to dry.

Any dry cleaning should also be a very gentle process.
