Sustainability
Goldfinger’s manifesto details how they aim to use local timber thoughtfully, prioritise the trade of craftsmanship, question how things are made; and what they are made from, and how we can share sustainable living with the world. Each product is made locally in Goldfinger’s London workshop for any commercial or domestic setting. They provide a lifetime repair service to ensure the maximum longevity of each piece.

Goldfinger prioritises sustainably sourced and ethically produced materials for their business, therefore, most of their materials such as timber and metal come from local companies. They aim to use virgin materials as little as possible, focusing on the use of offcuts. They supply their timber from a local London business whose timber comes from felled trees that would otherwise be chipped and burned.

Goldfinger is a London living wage employer, following a set hourly rate of pay. They also follow the RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases, and Dangerous Occurrences) reporting system for health and safety in the workplace, and produce regular fire, security, and health and safety audits.

Goldfinger helps their local community by preparing food with People’s Kitchen. Goldfinger’s volunteers deliver this food to hundreds of local vulnerable residents to fight social isolation and food poverty. They give back to the community by way of free workshops in sustainable woodworking. They also provide an apprenticeship programme, and short courses for the local community through Goldfinger Academy.
