Goldfinger

Goldfinger is creating bespoke furniture that is planet and people positive. They create thoughtfully- investing in traditonal craftsmanship so that your furniture can be used, preserved, and shared for generations to come. Goldfinger not only crafts furniture, they also teach marginalised people the art of woodworking and pioneered their own charitable initiative, People's Kitchen.
Goldfinger was started by Marie Cudennec Carlisle and Oliver Waddington-Ball in 2013. They took inspiration from the architect of the Grade II listed Brutalist home, Ernö Goldfinger, to emphasise the importance of quality everday items. They are concerned with using materials thoughtfully, and preserving traditional craftsmanship and woodworking skills. They understand that our everyday choices hold power for ourselves, and our planet. Therefore, we should make these choices as if all life depends on it.

In their North Kensington workshop, Goldfinger designs and crafts furniture and homeware for residential homes and many London businesses; from hotels to cafés, shops to offices. They also teach marginalised people the art of woodworking, through their apprenticeship programme, as well as craft workshops which are open to the public. Goldfinger attacks food waste and social isolation issues through their iniative, People's Kitchen, where they cook and deliver homemade meals to vulnerable residents in the local community.
