The Isle of Skye Paint Company was founded by Alasdair Campbell, a professional painter and decorator with over 20 years spent in the trade. Alasdair became unsatisfied with the poor durability of most exterior paints on the market, and used his experience to develop a water-based paint that would stand strong against all the challenges the outdoors presented. The company covers the Isle of Skye, and the North West Highlands of Scotland.
Famed for its natural beauty, brusk winds, and rugged qualities, the Isle of Skye is known to many as the ‘misty isle’. Steeped in folklore and tradition, the Isle of Skye’s history goes back through many centuries. The inspiration for the company’s paint and colour choices derive from the aesthetics and challenges of this area.
