Tread Softly Pierrot Cabinet

This bedside cabinet uses a beautiful custom mixed mellow yellow, which is given an elegant edge with exquisite black and white patterning. It is hand painted using Fusion Mineral Paint, transforming this lovely little piece into a must have and must keep piece of contemporary furniture.

This piece was inspired by Pierrot, a classic character of pantomime from the late 17th century Italian troupe of players performing in Paris, known as the Comédie-Italienne.

Tread Softly was created by Hannah Wiles, a Manchester-based fine artist who restores and upcycles second-hand and vintage furniture. All furniture pieces are sourced locally, such as second-hand shops and online marketplaces. This immensely benefits the local economy as well as the environment, by reducing the need for transportation and by giving previously unloved furniture a new lease of life.

Hannah is determined to only use environmentally-sound products and materials for her upcycling projects. For example, the paints that are used are non-toxic, lead-free, odourless, have no added VOCs, and contain no ammonia or formaldehyde. Veganism is also important to Hannah, who has been a vegan for over 9 years. She strives to only use vegan-friendly products to ensure that all her projects are sustainable and are aligned to her values.

All products are shipped in a care box, which comes with extra materials and care instructions to repair the products when natural wear-and-tear occurs. This ensures that your furniture lasts generations.

All products sent out by Tread Softly are packaged in biodegradable bubble wrap and paper tape. All care packages are sent out in recycled paper padded envelopes.
